This ring is carved from colorless, transparent rock crystal using an emerald cut. Rather than simply "setting" the crystal in place, Ji won Song carved the stone itself, creating a structure that allows light to pass through. This is a piece born from his unique approach.
The high transparency of rock crystal, created by its linear cuts, allows light to penetrate into the interior rather than being reflected off the surface. The clear surface and depth revealed by polishing quietly reveal the time and layers contained within the stone, and the moment you touch it with your finger, you can feel the stone's unique weight and temperature as a definite presence.
