Heami Lee
A contemporary ceramic artist based in Seoul, South Korea. She studied ceramics and glass at Hongik University and majored in ceramics at graduate school. She has built a unique world of expression based on ceramics.
Heami Lee's works, which are created using a unique technique of layering silver glaze onto fired ceramics, are characterized by concentrated beauty and fluid form. They respond to the user's lifestyle and the temperature and humidity of the space, changing their appearance over time to become one-of-a-kind. Her works are housed in museums overseas, including the Baltimore Museum of Art in New York, and have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions at international exhibitions and galleries, receiving high praise both at home and abroad.
