We will be holding a solo exhibition "Tears of the Manmade" by jewelry artist Sae Honda.

This glass pearl jewelry collection goes beyond imitating nature and explores unique shapes that can only be achieved through man-made products.

The glass pearls used in the collection are individually handcrafted by craftsmen in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture, which has a history of over 100 years of manufacturing artificial pearls.

The glass core is slowly submerged in pearl liquid by the hands of a craftsman,
It is wrapped in a beautiful membrane and slowly pulled up again.
After repeating this process over and over again and layering layers of seven-colored glittering films, this glass pearl takes shape.

If natural pearls are called "Tears of Mermaid",
These glass pearls may be called ``Tears of the Manmade'', which are filled with the skills and thoughts of craftsmen.

I don't want that craftsmanship to be hidden behind the word imitation.
This glass pearl is filled with such thoughts.

Please enjoy it.
