This Chinese tea scoop is made from sooted bamboo. This tea scoop can be used with a variety of tea leaves, including Chinese tea, black tea, and green tea. The thin tip can also be used as a tea scoop. This is a product that will be a part of your daily life.

"Soot bamboo" is the bamboo used for thatched roofs of old houses, and while it is smoked by the hearth for 100 or 200 years, The color is natural. The parts that were directly exposed to smoke are darker in color, while the parts that were tied with rope remain unsmoked, developing their individuality.

Nowadays, high-quality sooted bamboo is becoming increasingly rare. The Chinese tea scoops, which are created by carefully interacting with this limited material and freely and delicately painting them, are some of the most unique pieces among the works of bamboo craftsman Toru Hatsuda. The different expressions of each piece of sooted bamboo are also fascinating.
