This Chinese tea scoop is made from sooted bamboo. This tea scoop can be used with a variety of tea leaves, including Chinese tea, black tea, and green tea. The thin tip can also be used as a tea scoop. This is a product that will be a part of your daily life.
"Soot bamboo" is bamboo that was used to make thatched roofs of old houses, and it naturally took on its color while being smoked by the hearth for 100 to 200 years. Nowadays, high-quality soot bamboo is becoming rare.
The Chinese tea scoops, which Hatsuda creates with freedom and intricacy while carefully interacting with these limited materials, are some of the most unique pieces among his works. The different expressions of each piece of sooted bamboo are also fascinating.
