Solo exhibition “Tie and Inherit”

2022. 5.12 thu.- 15 sun. & 5.19 thu.- 22 sun.
13:00-19:00 (*until 5pm on the last day only)

We will be holding a solo exhibition by bamboo craft artist Toru Hatsuda, “Tie and Inherit.” I set my sights on the path of bamboo crafts,
Toru Hatsuda will celebrate 20 years in May this year.

Toru Hatsuda's work explores the beauty and potential of Japanese bamboo and continues to express it from new perspectives.
You can feel the vitality of bamboo and the many layers of time it has endured.

In this solo exhibition, in addition to Japanese tea utensils, he will also present tea ladles and tea rules for Chinese tea.

While going back and forth between tradition and innovation,
Still, we maintain a focus on our origins,
Please take a look at a new side of Toru Hatsuda.

May marks 20 years since I set my goals.
Although it is slow and clumsy,
By continuing,
I dream of a time when I will one day inherit a piece of history as a bamboo craftsman.
Connect each task one by one.
