竹工芸収集家。竹工芸作品のコレクションはもとより、国内外の美術館への作品提案、展覧会のコーディネート・プロモート、コレクターへのアドバイス等を積極的に行う。飯塚琅玕齋やロイド・コッツェン・コレクション展に尽力した他、NHK「美の壺」の「竹籠」編や多数の出版物の企画にも携わる。
